Boyacá Wind Farm

The Boyacá wind farm will be one of the four wind farms planned jointly for Aquitania, Duitama and Samacá (Boyacá). It will be a complement to the current supply of conventional energy generated by hydroelectric plants and will mitigate the vulnerability of the energy service during dry seasons. The four wind farms would have the capacity to generate approximately 52.5 megawatts, of which two projects in Samacá would provide 20 megawatts each.
